The Maisto Ford Model A 1929 is a mint condition highly detailed replica die-cast scale model car of the original classic Ford Model A. The exterior is trim with body paint, metallic engine showing its classy water-cooled L-head inline 4-cylinder. The Ford Model A's fuel tank was situated in the cowl, between the engine compartment's fire wall and the dash panel.

Little history to the Ford Model A

The Ford Model A aka A-Model Ford or the A, and A-bone among auto customizers. The much-heralded Ford Model A was the successor to Henry Ford's venerable Model T. It was often referred to as a 'Baby Lincoln,' and there was definitely a styling similarity.

The 1929 Model A's were characterized by brighter trim and body paint as well as new exterior door handles on open models. Due to the instant popularity of the new Ford, the two-millionth Model A Ford was built in July 1929. By 4 February 1929, one million Model As had been sold, and by 24 July, two million. The range of body styles ran from the Tudor at US$500 (in grey, green, or black) to the Town Car with a dual cowl at US$1200. In March 1930, Model A sales hit three million, and there were nine body styles available.
